As a Frontend Engineer you develop and maintain projects with your knowledge of HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript. You are experienced in crafting complex web interfaces with an eye for detail and following design specifications. This role is fully remote and is open to applicants located anywhere around the globe.

Responsibilities

• Architecting, and building websites and digital experiences primarily utilizing your expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, and WordPress.
• Write modular and performant HTML and CSS.
• Writing modular, extensible, and performant modern JavaScript.
• Crafting code with high accessibility standards and considerations.
• Ability to make smart design decisions. Occasionally filling in gaps left by designers e.g. interpreting how a layout should be presented on small screens.
• Effectively collaborate with designers throughout the design and engineering process.
• Working with the team to connect engineering deliverables to client business objectives.

Requirements

• Training and experience building responsive websites.
• Being collaborative, self-motivated, and an "always-learning" person, excited to create great web experiences.
• Experience using Git.

Nice to have

• Experience with WordPress, specifically it's themes.
• Experience with coding PHP, specifically for WordPress as a platform beyond the typical "blog" use cases.
• Experience with WordPress Gutenberg.
• Experience in the understanding of HTML and CSS including cross-browser compatibility, performance and WCAG accessibility compliance.
• Remote working experience appreciated.
